National Board of Review nombra a “Hugo” como la mejor película de 2011

La organización, con sede en Nueva York, eligió a Hugo y a Martin Scorsese como la mejor película y el mejor director de 2011, con George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Christopher Plummer y Shailene Woodley obteniendo el triunfo en la categorías de actuación.
Mejor película: Hugo
Mejor director: Martin Scorsese, Hugo
Mejor actor: George Clooney, The Descendants
Mejor actriz: Tilda Swinton, We Need to Talk About Kevin
Mejor actor de reparto: Christopher Plummer, Beginners
Mejor actriz de reparto: Shailene Woodley, The Descendants
Mejor película animada: Rango
Mejor película en habla no inglesa: A Separation (Irán)

La NBR también selecciona a diez películas como las más sobresalientes del año (en orden alfabético): The Artist, The Descendents, Drive, The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows Part 2, The Ides of March, J. Edgar, The Tree of Life y War Horse.
